rapport: noun: a relationship characterized by agreement, mutual understanding, or empathy that makes communication possible or easy

In this 4-hour hands-on-horses workshop, you will practice self-awareness and mindful presence exercises, learn “horse mirroring,” and deepen your awareness of how horses communicate discomfort, ease, release, and relaxation. Building on this, you will take a quick pass through “The Horse Nervous System 101.” You will then be introduced to the Masterson Method® form of equine bodywork and learn the Masterson Method Bladder Meridian Technique. The workshop will conclude with participants working with members of the CHOICE herd to practice mindful presence with horses and give the gift of ease to their equine partners.

- This course is appropriate for ages 15 – 120. 

- We will work outside with limited shade resources, so prepare for Central Oregon heat by wearing cool clothing, hats, wet neckerchiefs, and sunscreen. Bring snacks and cold drinks. Let the instructor know if you have special needs. This is a hands-on-horses course, and the instructor may need to touch your hands, arms, and shoulders to help improve your quality of touch. If you are uncomfortable with this, please let her know in advance.
