Natural rhythm is natural law. Existence is an experience of entrainment—the natural condition of the universe being in perfect harmony. When you are in your natural rhythm, you exist in harmony with who you are, what you want, and how you connect to your life.
As humankind traversed time from hunter-gatherer societies through industrialization and into the technological advancements of the past century, an incremental disconnect between nature and the people has occurred. Each stage of human innovation and corresponding ‘tuning out’ from the natural world and her rhythms fostered an individual ‘tuning out’ from the self. When you become aware of and connect to the cycles and rhythms in the world, you get the opportunity to ‘tune back IN’ to your own innate rhythms and live a life of compassion, gratitude, and reciprocity.
Birthing your own Medicine Drum is a deeply personal experience of self-discovery and engagement with Mother Earth’s natural rhythms. This 2-day workshop weaves the ancient art of crafting a drum with guided Drum Dreaming journeys and indigenous teachings of natural law to cultivate practices of vulnerability and a state of presence. As you physically shape and bring life into your drum through ceremony, you will learn how to just “be” – honoring your individual energy and unique rhythm. Through this process of connecting the heartbeats of Self, Drum, and Mother Earth, you become aware of your inner-voice and the cycles of the natural world. Drum in hand, you will call-in the courage to cultivate lifestyle rhythms grounded in play, wonder, trust, and forgiveness. Now is the time to Remember Your Rhythm!
