Drumming is medicine. It is a primal way of communicating with yourself to stir the wild within and inspire a reconnection to your natural rhythm. When drumming comes from the heart and holds the intention of play, fear dissolves. Within this safe and supportive environment, the inner-child is given permission to emerge and express itself in a loving and spontaneous way. Carried upon the drum beat, you find your innate playful spirit and flow it out into all aspects of your life.
The DRUM is a commUnity experience more so than a teaching. The intention is to cultivate a dynamic and free-flowing rhythm circle to explore who we really are–rhythmic, spiritual beings in physical form. The DRUM circles are an inclusive space where everyone is both the leader and the follower. A space where we invite ourselves to engage in a way that honors our own beat; creating percussive sound, moving the body, or just BEing with the healing energy. Rhythm instruments of all kinds are welcome in the circle–drums, rattles, shakers, flutes, didgeridoos–as we relearn the gift of PLAY. Following the drumming & rhythm circle, you are invited to gather on the Hanai patio around the fire pit to share in community connection while the sun sets; you're encouraged to bring a shareable snack!
